Godsent Abode is a Lagos-based filmmaker and founder of 3 Sixteen Studios Ltd., a faith-based production company dedicated to purpose-driven storytelling. With nearly a decade of independent filmmaking experience, he writes, directs, and produces narrative films that speak to the human condition. His work holds a mirror to life, honest, intentional, and deeply felt.
Experience
Founder & Creative Director 3 Sixteen Studios Ltd. /Â 2024 to Present
Founded a faith-based film production company focused on purpose-driven storytelling. Oversees all aspects of production from development to distribution. Written, directed, and produced a short, The Olive Jar.
Freelance Filmmaker & Director Independent /Â 2016 to Present
Managed end-to-end production workflows, including scripting, directing, editing, and post-production. Written and directed several short films and projects screened across various platforms such as The Plumber, Christmas with Strangers, and Becoming Elsie.
Country Director – Media & Marketing Immediate Help Foundation / 2024 to Present
Leads all media, communications, and marketing operations for the foundation. Designs strategic content and campaigns to advance the organisation’s humanitarian mission. Designed and developed the organisation’s current website.
Directing
“Every frame is a decision.” I brings stories to life with a deliberate eye for emotion, pacing, and visual language. From first rehearsal to final cut, I shape every performance and composition with intention, creating worlds that feel lived-in, and moments that linger long after the screen goes dark.
 Screenwriting
“Story begins on the page.” My scripts are built on truth, rooted in character, driven by conflict, and shaped by a deep understanding of the human experience. I write stories that challenge, inspire, and refuse to be forgotten.
Producing
“Vision means nothing without execution.” From development through distribution, I manage the full production pipeline, marshalling resources, leading teams, and making sure the creative vision survives contact with reality. I produced every project at 3 Sixteen Studios Ltd. from the ground up.
Storytelling
“Purpose is the throughline.” At the heart of everything I create is a single question: what does this mean? My faith-driven perspective gives my work a rare moral weight, stories that don’t just entertain, but illuminate something true about who we are and who we’re becoming.
